Hello,
My name is Sylvie Fontaine Jacobs. This year begins my 25th year in education. I love working with the awesome staff at Emerson Middle School. I am the 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Title 1 teacher, the ELL teacher, and the Emerson Math Coach.
I moved to Oklahoma from Colorado in 2012. I have been married to James Fontaine Jacobs for 7 years. I have 4 children. Two of my girls, Nikita and Whitney graduated as Registered Nurses and my son graduated with a microbiology degree but decided to become an elementary teacher. Shena, who I considered my daughter, passed away 3 years ago ending her battle with Severe Spina Bifida. In addition, I have 3 step-children – Justin, Alex, and Madison. Justin and Alex graduated from EHS and Madison will be a sophomore at Enid High this school year.
I am looking forward this school year with your children. I have a great passion for the teaching profession, but my greatest passion in education is to educate students as my motto is
“CAPTURE the kids’ hearts, CAPTURE their minds.”
