I graduated from Jenks High School and received an Bachelor's degree from Phillips University.
I attend many hours of professional development each year. I am especially excited about learning how to bring technology into the classroom. I feel it is important to use technology so my students will be prepared for their futures. I was able to travel to Galveston for an energy conference in 2019 and to Chicago for a technology conference in 2018.
This is my 28th year of teaching. I have been at Emerson 18 years.
I taught at Glenwood Elementary School for 11 years before moving to Emerson.
I am married and have 4 children. Andy, my husband, manages Rotek Services. My oldest son, Mark, works in Edmond. Rylee is a senior at UCO where she is studying to be a teacher. Reagan is a senior at Enid High and Mathew is in seventh grade. We have 2 dogs, fish, and a turtle. Our turtle, Daisy, stays in the classroom.
I try to be the kind of teacher that I would like for my children to have. I spend a lot of time attending my children's activities and we are active in our church. I enjoy camping.
