About Me

Educational History:

I attended Phillips University, majored in music education with a minor in math.

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Northwestern Oklahoma State University with bachelor's degree in Music Education, emphasizing in vocal, instrumental, and general music, and earned additional Oklahoma certification with a Math endorsement.

I also attended one semester online at the University of Texas at Arlington with a major in master of education in mathematics.

Current Position:

I am currently an 8th grade math teacher, however I have taught grades 6-12 during my teaching career.

I have taught math at Emerson, Waukomis, and Longfellow, as well as summer schools at all 3 Enid middle schools.

In my early career, I taught band for Enid Public Schools at Adams, Longfellow, and Emerson.

Also early in my teaching career, I taught orchestra at McKinley, Hoover, Hayes, Eisenhower, and Harrison.

I also previously taught choir at Longfellow.

This is my 10th year teaching math at Emerson.  Additionally I am in my 3rd year as the EPS district-wide middle school math department head.
